11 firw ,v ARTHUR F. HALEY President l l if 'ts-E jmwfmt U 01440 TELEPHONE' 632-1280 OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT Congratulations to the Class of 1973. We had a great year in many respects. Your class was one of the brightest. I and many others are in awe of the high academic achievement of your good selves, evidenced by the many awards at graduation. Quick place- ment in iob opportunities was highest this year, reflecting this achievement. This year the design and construction of the new campus pro- ceeded in an expeditious manner. It is my hope that many of you will return for further educational experiences especially in our new campus -- emphasizing our desire to be the college for life. The social program this past year was excellent, enabling me and my wife to meet many of you outside of the classroom. The pages of this yearbook will recall to your mind many of these pleasant experiences. I Just reviewed my own yearbook from alma mater and it seems I get even more pleasure reviewing my past as- sociations as the years go by. I am sure you will too! My wish to you is to continue your great efforts which will meet with the same success that you have enjoyed here. Please stop in and visit when you have a chance. I should like to con- tinue my association with you. 8' Arthur P. Haley President 6

You have ample reason to be proud of the fact that you survived the two difficult years which saw many of your class- mates fall by the wayside. I am completing my ninth year work- ing with students here and have seen more than 4000 come and go in similar fashion. I frequently lament the fact that we are a two year institution because one hardly gets to know you when you depart. You are venturing into the outside world faced with national and international problems of enormous gravity and complexity. At the same time, the portion of your education just now completed, is a good deal better education than was generally available only with it, and with these challenges to stimulate you face a new world with much promise.
