Do you remember all of ' fneseiuow about earthquakes or the Suez Canal, or a poor Black bfnuerto Rican or American Indian child staring out of a glossy photograph with eyes as big as pancakes and a belly as big as a clothes basket? Or apathy on campus? Or an eleven year old boy dying from an overdose of heroin? Sometimes we allow ourselves to let these things slip into the oblivion of disconcern. Sometimes we become so involved in one that the others slip away to the same unfertile pasture. Some people might say this is only human, but it naturally follows that we have to overcome this humaness for the benefit of humanity. As students, but more important, as people, we are standing in the middle of all the world's frailties and shortcomings, and have ahead of us the task of redeeming ourselves for the sake of brotherhood and peace . Read these next few pages and think of you, of me, of our friends, and of all those we don't know, and ponder what solutions are available and what we can do together for the good of all.
