STUDENT GOVERNMENT Tin- executive branch of Mount Vernon’s Student Government is composed of girls chosen to lead the student body towards a fuller understanding and observance of the school s standards. As leaders, they themselves must practice constant self-discipline in order to set an admirable example for others. They must learn to accept the responsibilities of their offices with humility, and must strive to guide not as dictators but as counsellors with an attitude of firm but sympathetic authority.
