Spring Activities Offer Varied Rewards Just two of the various spring activities offered at Mount Vernon, the Athletic Department ' s spring Sports Program and the Choral Department ' s bi¬ annual FROLICS offered two distinctly different, yet equally rewarding opportunities to students. The Sports Program was highlighted by such individual accomplishments as Brett Eppert ' s sky-scraping, record-breaking feats in the high jump, and by team efforts, such as Baseball ' s second-place state rank. But team work is as important in singing as it is in baseball, as the Choral Department proved. For three nights last June, the FROLICS filled the Little Theater with enthusiastic audiences. But besides the Sports Program and the FROLICS, many other activities, such as Prom, Band activities, and Commencement made for an exciting, interest¬ ing spring.

Fashion-Minded Throng Meets At Sidney ' s Meet Me at Sidney ' s, the second spring fashion show presented at Mt. Vernon by Ms. Kathy Hutchings and the fashion merchandising students, offered more this year than would be expected from a conventional fashion show. With Bill Boyne (THE WAITER) and Penny Ward and Kevin DiLallo (THE TOURISTS), the show featured not only striking fashion, but comic relief as well. Because a fashion show needs a very large crew. Meet Me at Sidney ' s gave many students an oppor¬ tunity to apply their individual talents. In addition to the fashion merchandising students, the Stage Lighting Crew, and members of the International Thespian Society, many other students, not in these activities, were allowed to par¬ ticipate in a show that will be long remembered. Bill Boyne opens, Hi there . . . Steve Bracken admits, It must be my Aqua Velva. Gladys Schmutz argues, No, dear. Mother said the Capitol is right next to the Empire State Building.
