, ,M- ls Bob Brown, editor-in-chief, inspects a yearbook from a neighboring school-trying to get new ideas for The Surveyor. Such a iob is not always an easy one since rules of iournalism prevent rash and spontaneous ideas. Cynthia Bennett, Shirley Garman and Anne Massey do much of the typing of copy. This task always proves to be a long tedious assignment for material usually is done in many various styles and is not always legible. Preparing copy forms for the printers, making pictures fit dummy sheets and designing pages for all the classes, clubs and sports. Sidney Thompson, Bob Hobson and Norbert O'Hare spent many hours during the summer months for the '56 Surveyor.

Advertising partially supplements money for the publication of our yearbook. Marilyn Meserve, Becky Rios and Joan Morris try to adjust copy to fit space purchased by our advertisers. What are we going to do for extra pages? And, when will we ever get all of the pictures made with so much activity in the school is a problem that arises often in publishing a yearbook. Gretchen Young and Nancy Pastore discuss unique picture lay- outs while Bob Raybold studies the present working dummy . Suzanna Palmer, Patsy Baum- ert and Pat Peyton have spent many hours licking and sticking identification tabs for the classes.
