STUDENT honor plaque was designed and placed in our main corridor. A campaign familiar to our ears is the Magazine Drive. Through the efforts of our stu- dent body, a total of $10,121 was reached this year. Due to our excellent student salesmanship, we were able to donate money to help finance pianos for our auditorium; and to give a com- plete Christmas dinner to each student in school. Mid spring presented a busy schedule for us. Nominations for officers were held and after much campaigning, the final election eased the minds of many hope- ful candidates. Pat- terned after our National Gov-|lo« ernment, we have represent- | atives who are elected from each I home room in the school. Two senators are elected by each class and the cabinet is appointed by the president. A coordinating body, also appointed by the president, has as its job to serve as a go-between for student gov- ernment and the Administration. Our principal has always given the students a voice in many school policies. An Honor Code was estab- lished in our school this past winter. In an effort to remind students of our achievement, an

Beverly Ludlow, circulation editor assists Dee Armstrong in giving out the new yearbooks. Joan Morris, Cynthia Bennett, Ann Massey, and Sidney Thompson are all new members of the 1954 yearbook staff. George Grayson gives assistance to Shirley Myers, copy editor and Janice Harlow, business manager in arranging the 1954 yearbook. George Grayson is a new member on our staff, but has proven to be very helpful to all concerned. Janice and Shirley are old- timers with two years of experience.
