Student Government Works at MVHS Seven of the most important people at MVHS are the ASB officers. Theirs is the responsibility for the smooth running of the mechanics of the student body. The door to President Mark Lange's office was never closed, and he was always willing to listen to comments, ques- tions, and complaints. In the Senate, Vice President Jeanne Cushman's leadership proved invaluable to the group. Her Girl Fri- day was Laurie Todd. Files, minutes, and Senate bills were kept in order by a busy Colleen Mil- ler. Our classes and clubs were advised and saved from chaos by Treasurer Bruce East- man, with the help of Assistant Treasurer Barb Bruhn and Secretary of Student Finance lay Crawford. Those of us who needed legal ad- vice found Attorney General Marian Fourno ready to comply. Above Left: Diligence and dependability are two of the necessary qualities possessed by lay Crawford as Sec- retary of Student Finance. Above: jeanne Cushman takes a few minutes off from her demanding job of ASB Vice President. Above: Although she's not a librarian, Marian uses the law library as an aide in her job as Attorney General.

Class Officers Share Responsibilit Throughout the year classes are called upon to organize and work for events such as Home- coming and other special projects. Leadership and enthusiasm are what it takes to get it to- gether, and this years officers had both. T Frosh President Tom Wilson worked with Vice President Brian Rolfson, Secretary Tracy Ad- kins, and lTreasurerl Chris lHogue to make their first year a great success. Sophomores went far under President Mark Crubrud, Vice President Ryan johnson, Secretary joan Larson and Treasurer David Anderson. Humor and hard work were combined by junior officers, Mark Ziegler, president, Becky Hanstad, vice president, Kim Crawford, secretary, and Val Taylor, treasurer. Making the most of their big year were senior class officers, john Van Pelt, president, Fred Knutsen, vice president, ' Peggy Wetsch, secretary, and julie Walker, treasurer. More than once, it was up to elected class officers to prod their classmates on when en- thusiasm wavered. Thanks to the strong guid- ance they provided, funds were raised, activi- ties were organized, and each class enjoyed a productive year.
