‘tfyiy i 4dmi U4tn4Uo't Although the school was still very much under construction , Mr. Goerlitz commented that everything went a lot smoother than last year. The students and faculty were terrific — a big help! Since most of the remaining construction was upstairs away from students and teachers, the learning environment was greatly improved over last year. There were also fewer confrontations among students which Mr. Goerlitz felt was due to the increased size of the school. I am extremely proud of Phase 1. The quality of the work is something the community can be proud of for years to come. G. Donald Goerlitz, Principal Tom Collins Director of Information Systems Mr. Collins is in charge of the management of computer operations. He also super- vises the high school budget, the purchase of classroom equipment, and the mainte- nance of the building and grounds. 14 Administrators Ann Jones Assistant Principal Mrs. Jones' responsibilities focus on student services and activities. She admits new students, supervises student discipline, oversees textbook distribution and collection, coordinates convocations, and serves as co-sponsor of the Student Council. Charles Valier Athletic Director Mr. Valier's responsibil- ities include recommending personnel for coaching as- signments, scheduling athlet- ic events, and securing offi- cials. He coordinates transportation and the sched- uling of events requesting school facilities for meetings. He also assumes fiscal re- sponsibility for the entire athletic program.

Sfrinct 02Vee Spirit Week brought much that was the same as in past years and much that was different. Once again, there was no parade. However, the Scavenger Hunt was repeated with the Freshmen pulling off an upset. Also, due to the new paint job, we could not decorate the halls as in past years. To make up for this, each class decorated a section of the auditorium which had not yet been repainted. The Spirit Day dress-up competition featured Buttons and Shades Day, College T- Shirt Day, Dress Up Day, and Sweats and Bandanna Day. The Spirit Stick was won by the Seniors. Spirit Week 13
