Just because school was out for the summer, MVSHS students did not slow down. Many students continued their achievements throughout the summer. Jim Goodridge, John Hall, Jim Stickels, and alternate Steve Fulton attended Hoosier Boys' State this year. Pam Wilcox attended the Hugh O'Brian Leadership Conference in Indianapolis. Becky Dunn also attended the conference as a counselor, and she later attended the International Conference also held in Indianapolis. Closer to home, Tony Acuff played on the sectional winning Funkhouser baseball team in Evansville. Two MVSHS students traveled out of the country this year. The first, John Reed, went to Australia to visit relatives, attend school, and participate in some extra curricular activities. Junior, Jim Culley participated in an exchange program sponsored by 4-H. He spent a month in Japan. 4 Summer Activities
