Ron Jones received ft first place ribbon at the sectionals which were held at Central Stadium. He tied the Sectional high jump record with a jump of 6 feet and 7 inches. He then went to the regional where he jumped 6 feet 6 inches to grab a second place ribbon. Ronnie went to the State meet where he took second place, clearing 6 feet 11 inches. In June, Ronnie entered the AAU Sectional where he jumped 6 feet 4 inches, taking the first place ribbon. In July, Ronnie traveled to Lincoln, Nebras- ka to participate in the nationals He cleared 6 feet 10 inches, becoming the sixth highest jumper in the Nation. Ron took first place in the high jump at the Quad-State Track Meet in Bloom- ington. Indiana. Martha E.
