MEXICO Seven student and four sponsors visited Mexico City and Acapuko between M ch 18 to March 25. Mexico City has a population of 12 million people and ranks second in the world. There are no words which can describe the impressive 286 foot Pyramid to the Sun located some 30 miles outside of Mexico City. One is transported back m time IXXX) years and views the largest religious center in the New World. The two large markets in the city — San Juan and Ciudadeia — could keep one entertained for an entire day. Haggling over the price'' at times was a real Mexican stand-off. Acapulco was founded in 1386 by the Aztec Indians. In recent times it has become known as the Paradise of the Pacific. Here we discovered the old Fort of San Diego built by the Spanish in the I500rs. This fortress overlooks the Bay of Acapulco. We left Acapulco and 90 degree weather at 4,00 p.m. and were greeted in Chicago at 8-00 p.m. by cold March winds and 22 degrees. All we can say now is Via Mexico! mim Pyramid to the Sun National Cathedral Trip To Mexico 19
