WE DEDICATE this 1971 yearbook to Mrs . Florence Kouts in appreciation for her ten years of service to the students of Mt. Vernon Senior High School. Retiring in 1970 after fifteen years of active service in the field of teaching, her educational honors show that she knew her subjects well and conveyed the knowl- edge she had to each of her students in a way each could understand. Her interests included sponsoring the local Junior Classical League and helping the In Ae Orphanage in Sole, Korea. Such activities show that Mrs. Kouts not only was dedicated but also was concerned with other children around the world. Although Mrs. Kouts has retired, she will remain a part of Mt. Vernon Senior High School for the many hours she gave to her students . We wish to extend our gracious 'THANK YOU MRS. FLORENCE KOUTS
