THE MOUNT VERNON METROPOLITAN SCHOOL BUILDING CORPORATION Providing a distinct public service to their community, the members of the Holding Corporation have been the agency through which the new MVHS has been financed and erected. Serving without compensation, they have given freely the many hours needed for purchasing the site, issuing and selling the bonds, awarding the contracts, and inspecting the construction of the building. The Metropolitan School District will pay an annual rental to the Holding Corporation who will, in turn, apply this money toward the retirement of the bonds. When all bonds have been paid, the title for the building will be transferred to the Metropolitan School District, and the Holding Corporation will be dissolved. 4
