-I-hatonq 'Q Ju' Of prime importance in our Junior year was the arrival of our Jacksrs, the most beautiful MVHS has even seen The poor old seniors were green with envy so they pretended they wouldn t be caught dead in class Jackets in such hot weather At long last we elected our first queen the football queen We sold magazines at a lightning rate and made a small fortune Then we turned right around and blew our fortune throwing the Junior Senior Prom We spent our Enchanted Evening aboard the steamer Avalon-nothing but the best for the class of 1957 Right about this time our class rings made their appearance on fingers and chains all over Mt, Vernon High and our junior year was complete, The class of 57 has set the Sophisticated Senior tradition back ten years Did we restrain our glee when we elected our second football queen and won a trophy for our class float all in the same evening?
