MORE ROYALTY On the night of December 12, pretty Martha Cowan was crowned queen of the 1952-53 basketball season by acting captain Bill Bourne. Her attendants were Shirley Bishop, Carla Potter, Della Temple and Barbara Smith. The crown and basketball bearers were Merle Potter and Suzanne Mabry.

One of the main events at the beginning of the new school year was the Football Coronation with attractive Susan Carman as the queen. Shirley Morlock, Bettye Hedges, Myrna Waller, Juanita Booth, Marlene Adams and Wanda Pfeiffer serv- ed as her attendants and Gayle Farris was Maid of Honor. Joe Higgenbottom had the honor of crowning the 1952 queen and Johnny Bob Walling and Toni Tomlison were crown and ball bearers. The parade of floats was won by Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority which was also an event of September 19, 1952. ROYALTY

 Moonlight and Roses made a perfect theme and setting for our Junior-Senior Prom on April 25, 1952. Chosen by the vote of the Junior class, Joan Lawrence was crowned Queen of the Prom by George Hurley. Music for the dance was furnished by Roger Pemberton and his band.
