These musicians, shown in one of their formations, have had a big year. The band paraded at the football games, played at the Posey County Choral Festival and in the Band Festival. This year finds the Music Department moved into a home of their own —One of the barracks buildings.

 H v 3 THE AMERICAN WAY ( m' i O o Sponsored by the Social Studies Club, major party headquarters under Betty John- son and Raymond Stratton, were established. Campaign literature was distributed, debates were held and a mock election was carried on. Regular election procedures, including registration, voting by precincts and tabulating the returns provided an in- teresting insight into The American Way.

MORE MUSIC M.V.H.S. singers were a part of the chorus that filled the Griffin gym at the County Choral Festival, October 16. Mr. Brad Chaffin of Evansville, Indiana was the guest conductor. Christmas finds the choral group caroling throughout the halls. Try-outs and rehearsals for the triple - trio and sextette are di- rected by Robert Padgett.
