SCHOOL CALENDAR September 6— First day of school—Cavan and Pence our sponsors—Oh Man!! 7— New Teachers!! Why does everyone want to take Physical Education? 1-1—Election of Class Officers! Our new Prexy!! Phil Hagemann. 16— First Fire Drill—Who was that little F'reshman who carried out his lunch ? 17 Football Queen Crowning — Marilyn Cullman was elected Senior Candidate. Ortolter 9—Tri Kappa Tea for the Senior (iirls! 14— “Book Lovers”—one act by Footlight Performers. 17— Fall-Round-Up—The All School Party —“Square Dance and Virginia Reel”— Fun for everyone!! Yipee! 17— Rev. Twente—Exchange Teacher. 19—(iirls- Mass Meeting—Faculty vs. Stu- dents—did you ever see such beautiful legs ? ? 21—Pictures taken for Annual—Watch the birdie, and I don’t mean Mr. Pence!! 27— 28—Teachers Association (faculty at- tends movies—students sleep). 31—Back to school again—Betty Ann Marx elected Senior candidate for Basketball Queen! November 3-4—“Meet Me In St. Louis”—3-act play —Presented by Footlight Performers. 9—Completion of Stationery Sales! We did it!! We went over our goal by $400. 15— Miss Brock front Evansville for the (iirls’ Mass Meeting. Short hair is now stylish. 18— (iirls Council began Candy Sales!! 24-25 Thanksgiving Holidays begin — Watch your tummy!! 28— Back to school—Everyone looks as if they have gained about 5 pounds—Well- almost!! 29— Arrival of Stationery! Home Room 20 in an up-roar!! December ft—“M Club Party—Where did Bill Hart- mann put all those hot dogs?? 7—Seniors had their first real class party. Skating at “Juniors Skating Kink” was enjoyed by everyone!! Pillows were popular at school next day. 14—Mary Jane Beste, Jo Ann Bishop, and Sue Fuelling represent the Seniors in the I). A. R. Citizenship Contest. Susie was elected. 15- Social Studies Club Party—Who car- ried away all that good cider?? 21— January 3 — Christmas Vacation !! Merry Christmas, Everyone!! January 1—Blind Tourney—Richland Red Devils w m!! 4—Rain-Rain Everywhere—School may be dismissed! 5 F. F. A. Party—strictly boys! 6—No School—Icy roads — Everyone is singing the most popular song of the day “Slippin’ Around!” 18- 19—Exams!! 19- 20-21—County Tourney at Wadesville. Wadesville won. 27—Sue Fuelling won oratorical contest!! 27—Hooray for the Wildcats!! We beat New Harmony. February 4— Solo Contest — Evansville College — We’re proud of Phil, Betty Nell, Brass and Vocal Sextets! 7 Donkey Basketball game!! Mule Train!! 2,3—Sectionals at Evansville. 26—Band Concert!! 1 didn't hear any sour notes so I sup|x se everyone did their best! .March 6— Senior Play Matinee. 7— Seniors, the big day has arrived!! “Romeo, Romeo, where for art thou Romeo!! Senior Play went off with a bang!! Enjoyed by everyone. 10—County Music Festival!! More fun!! 25—State Solo and Ensemble Contest. April 3- P. A. C. Dinner at Tell City!! 14- 15—F.aster Vacation! 22— P. A .C.—Track Meet!! May 5— Junior-Senior Prom!! Lot's of fun!i 15— Student Art Exhibit. 17—Senior Picnic—Jolly!! A whole half day!! 19—Minor Honor Day! The Seniors were not forgotten! 23— Exams began, but not for the Seniors!!
