SNOWBALL The Student Council sponsored The Snowball dance, December 22, in the high school auditorium. The music for this semi-formal was provided by the Riley Norris Dance Band in which our own Mr. Bechtel plays trombone. Since the dance was not only open to Mount Vernon High students and graduates, but also to students from neighboring high schools, the dance was a big success. HI-Y DANCE One of the most important features of the Hi-Y program is the annual semi-formal dance. This yearls dance was held at the country club on April 12. Dancing was from 9 to 12 with music from Hi-Fi records. Dick Christopher and Daniel Levering made arrangements for the dance and the chaperones were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Clutter and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Daniels. 26
