Expecting her husband home any minute, Mrs. Antrobus re- minds Henry CDick Christopher? and Gladys CSa1ly Hellwigl to be on their best behavior. ENTERTAINMENT The Skin of Our Teeth, written by Thornton Wilder, is a comedy about George Antro- bus, his wife, their two children, and the general utility maid, Lilly Sabina, all of Excelsior, New Jersey. The Antrobuses have survived fire, Hood, pestil- ence, the seven year locusts, the ice age, a dozen wars, and the double feature. They look up- on the future with disarming optimisim, and this play is a tribute to their indestructibility. Sabina and Mrs. Antrobus serve refreshments to guests who have been forced out of their homes by an intense cold wave. Florence Senseman and Karen Wfeekley wait for their entrance. ,lf

SNOWBALL The Student Council sponsored The Snowball dance, December 22, in the high school auditorium. The music for this semi-formal was provided by the Riley Norris Dance Band in which our own Mr. Bechtel plays trombone. Since the dance was not only open to Mount Vernon High students and graduates, but also to students from neighboring high schools, the dance was a big success. HI-Y DANCE One of the most important features of the Hi-Y program is the annual semi-formal dance. This yearls dance was held at the country club on April 12. Dancing was from 9 to 12 with music from Hi-Fi records. Dick Christopher and Daniel Levering made arrangements for the dance and the chaperones were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Clutter and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Daniels. 26
