FIRST SEMINAR CLASS Mrs. Imogene Montgomery was the instructor for the first honors class in Mount Vernon High School. The class studied philosophy, Greek tragedy, applied logic, and classical arts. Each Friday a guest speaker talked to the group on some phase of business or professional life. The members of this seminar were chosen from the upper tenth of the junior and senior classes through a series of intelligence tests. Dr. john Drake, Mount Vernon sur geon, one of the Friday spellxcrs
