STANDING: Alan Wiley, Ianice Abraham, Robert Brown, Mary Jane Moss, Mrs. -Betty Ward, Faculty Advisor. 318' Student Council Begin Year Two students, a boy and a girl, are elected from the sophomore and the freshman classesg and three more students are elected to represent the student body at large. At regular council meetings, the members discuss and act upon suggestions and criticisms submitted by the students. Among student council duties are sharing in determining the governmental policies of the school, in planning social and student functions, and in deciding upon the distribution of the funds collected from student activity fees. Mrs. Ward, Teresa Puntney and Robert Brown reach the final decision. ,- 14 ' .lffff

Vernon Community Chorus and Orchestra are open to both students and faculty of the junior college. In these organizations, the community and the college achieve a closer relationship through participation in the activities of the chorus and orchestra.
