As we pass through her office, her jokes and kind words provide a sense of home. No one knows what her exact job title is, but we all know to go to her for advice and problem-fixing.. When no one else can get us to smile or laugh — Lola can! Thank you, Lola. 3 CONVOCATION 4 CONVOCATION AND LIBRARY DEDICATION The academic year began officially with Convocation and the dedication of the Charles Ellison Eckles and Anita Heurich Eckles Memorial Library on September 1 8th. J. Carter Brown, director of the National Gallery of Art, delivered the dedica- tion address. On hand to help celebrate the event were Dr. Jane Vans, Dr. Peter Brown, members of the Board of Trustees, and the senior class dressed in cap and gown. 6 MVC’S CANDIDS 8 « 10 1 I 12 ms J 3 14 TREE TRIMMING PARTY The student body decked the halls — or at least Post Hall — during the Tree Trimming Party on Dec. 1st.
