President) Martha M irtie) Vice-Presiden t Nancy Anderson Secretary-Treasurer Valeric Meyer FIRST FORM One of the high spots of the first semester was our attainment of Flag Honor, as our class achieved the highest citizenship average in the Preparatory School, We had two representatives in the Little Theatre Group, and both of these girls had parts in the Christmas and Spring Plays. Naturally, we all enjoy athletics and this year, In addition to basketball, hockey, and badminton, we have participated in ice skating and bicycling. Bicycling has been very popular, for the roads and scenery in Spring Valley have added greatly to the enjoyment of the rides. Our first year at Mount Vernon has been a most happy one, and we arc looking forward with great expectancy to the Fall, when we shall enter the Second Form,

President, Margaret Hartman Vice-President, Florence Foerderer Secretary t Mary Ellen Davis Treasurer , Flurence Griffin SECOND FORM Remember what fun we had at the dance that was given before Christmas at the Wesley Heights Club . . . that was where we finally found out what the Tom’s, Dick’s, and Harry’s whom we had heard so much about really looked like . . , and the craze for learning the “cat”, that “hep” jitterbug dance — well, at least we all tried to learn! Remember, in Geometry, the compass that never worked and the queer figures that resulted from it , . , the long bicycle rides that we had whether it was cold or warm, sunshine or windy , . and the aches that followed! Remember “O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? ' 1 Remember study hall and those studious expres- sions we had on our faces , . , the Valentine Dance, given at Gatesley, when there were a lot of hearts on the loose and some were snagged on that memorable night . « what fun we had learn- ing those Spanish Christmas carols . . . the famous first lines of Caesar, “all of Gaul is divided in three parts.” Remember that “coke party” given by the old girls for the new in October when w r e really got acquainted . , , laughter heard daily from the French classes in room 10 , . . “Sit up,” “Head back,” “shoulders down”, those orders given at posture classes. Remember the dissection of frogs, osmosis, fission and ass im illation . . Remember them! We can’t forget them! Nor our fifty-yard dash to 4020 at lunch time. Re- member what a wonderful time we had being in the Second Form with such a swell bunch of crirls? We sure do!
