John R. Shull, B. A. Principal and Business Mgr., Sociology 7fze p ' ' fi Madage The masses of the world following the great World War II, lived in great expectancy. They hoped that it was a new world which faced periods charac- terized only by international peace, domestic tranquility and economic securi- ty. This period of expectancy has passed Without realization and we have now entered a period of fear, distrust and insecurity. On every hand We see men and women in all levels of life Whose hearts are failing for fear as they see the things that are coming upon the earth. All the world looks in vain for peace, hope and security. They fail to recognize that all these things are found only in Christ. Upon those of us who do understand the scource of these securities, there falls a tremendous responsibility. Our youth are especially called to meet the challenge of this hour. Through the youth whose vision is bright and whose hope is sure, can the people ofthe World soon have their visions brightened and their hopes revived. It is to this end that the youth of the Advent Message are called and it is to this great task that the youth pictured on the pages of this book are consecrated and for which they are being prepared.
