But the past in all its aspects and all of its colorful details is not indelibly written, even if it is unalterably written. It is easy to forget. Remind- ers are necessary if we would keep the past vividly alive and accurate in its outlines and details. In this book is told for our remembrance the story of this Centennial Year,—the first year of the new peace. For the future we have recorded what life at Mount Union was like in 1945-46. It has been a good year. The story has been worth the telling and we are proud of it.
