This Unonian is dedicated to friends of Mount Union College everywhere who have built into it a tradition which we in 1941 attempt to uphold. Through the medium of our book we endeav- or to present and preserve the records of the past year on our campus. Each year it has been the custom to assemble material representing our college life, to compile it in the Unonian that it may serve to bring back fond memories in the years to come and show our friends the happiness to be found while studying at Mount. Years from now, when our footsteps have long since ceased to tread the paths of learning here, we will welcome the oppor- tunity to leaf through the records of 1941, to meet again the friends we have made, and to partake in memory of those days we lived and loved and yet would live again. The personalities and events herein portrayed have been impartially selected for their bearing upon our college life. It would be difficult to show any campus scene that would not bring back pleasant memo- ries. A certain friendly beauty, a nearness to our hearts, in- stills in us a feeling of love, a thrill of companionship and of partial ownership as we persue the scenes in our annual. These are feelings no one can take from us-feelings we may cherish always and share with our friends. May we express our deep gratitude to those who have lent their support and cooperation to make this college picture pos- sible. To those energetic and helpful assistants-our deep ap- preciation. To our friends everywhere, to our companions of to- day and our friends of tomorrow, may our Unonian serve its purpose in keeping alive college days at Mount Union. As we seniors take leave of our college, but not of our friends and thoughts, we welcome those incoming freshmen who will live the happy days we did. May Mount's tradition ever stand staunch and strong in the years to come, may its friends ever hold fast the memories it brings. With these hopes in mind we Present Your 1941 Unonian. A ORD
