Tabor High School English Department are striving to help each student develop to the best of his ability some degree of proficiency in the basic communicative skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. We con- tend that the student who possesses a functional knowledge of these skills will be better prepared to perform as a well- adjusted, useful member of society. For students with a special interest, such elec- tives as journalism, world literature, and advanced composition are offered. The Social Studies Department of Mt. Tabor hopes to make students aware of the social world around them and-how it relates to each individual. We hope o achieve this through studies of political systems, world cultures and history.
