We con- tend that the student who possesses a functional knowledge of these skills will be better prepared to perform as a well- adjusted, useful member of society. For students with a special interest, such elec- tives as journalism, world literature, and advanced composition are offered. The Social Studies Department of Mt. Tabor hopes to make students aware of the social world around them and-how it relates to each individual. We hope o achieve this through studies of political systems, world cultures and history.
