-5 'IIS INT' HIE circular seal of Mount Saint Marys College, designed by Baker ot London, has the name of the college around the shield. The four divisions of the circle form a cross with the date of the foundation, 1925, in the center. Three angel wings at the left signify the city of Los Angeles, while the Heur de lis represents the Sisters of St. joseph of Carondelet who were established in France in 1650. At the top is a lily surrounded by thorns-Mary the Immac- ulate Conception. Below the date is an open book containing the motto of the college-Dem' Illzmfimzfio Alan. God my light. The seal symbolizes Mount Saint Mary's College, founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Caron- delet in the city of the angels and dedicated to the Immaculate Virgin Mother. 'B In f Page liiz 'w l
