Dedica tea' to RIGHT REVEREND MONSIGNOR JOHN H. HACKETT His opinions and judgments were widely sought and acknowledged by everyone in and out of the diocese. A native of Fall River, Right Reverend Monsignor John H. Hackett was elevated to the ranlc of Right Reverend Monsignor in 1964, at the closing of the Second Vatican Council. The youngest priest ever appointed to the position ol Domestic Prelate, Monsignor Hackett was one of the most highly esteemed members of our diocesan clergy. ' We. the young members of our Christian community are particularly indebted to Monsignor Hackett for his example of Christlilce dedication and service. As assistant curate at St, Thomas More Church, Somerset. and later. as chaplain and religious instructor at Sacred Hearts Academy in Fall River, Monsignor served the youth of our diocese in what was destined to be a brief but intensely effective priesthood.
