Alter Chtistus - Another Christ OUR PASTORS ... Christ ' s life on earth was soon run, His task quickly done. The brief years hastened to their culmination in the Sacrifice of the Cross, and He was soon gone from the sight of men. But Christ ' s work was to overflow the narrow bounds of His earthly years, to extend out across the centuries to all times and all peoples. Having come as a man, to save men, it would be through men that the Son of God would offer Himself to the Father ... In His priesthood He guaranteed the continuance of the sacrifice to which all His life had aimed. Each priest means another Christ, another altar, another renewal of Calvary ... (DOMINICANA, June, 1938). These are our Pastors. Devoted entirely to God and His Church, like tireless generals in the Army of Christ they give us our spiritual weapons and outline the plan of righteousness that will enable us to participate in the eternal victory of Heaven. Reverend Vincent Ferrer McHenry, O.P. Professor of Theology in Providence Col- lege, Father McHenry came to Dominica i the first Tuesday of each month to give expert advice to seniors and juniors on how best to use those powerful weapons of the Army of Christ, the Sacraments and prayer. The lively discussions that followed each month ' s lesson cleared up many important problems for us. Those Tuesd ay classes were highlights through- out the year. Reverend Terence J. Sullivan, O.P. Also a Professor of Theology in Providence College, Father Sullivan began his monthly lessons for freshmen and sophomores in Decem- ber, to the delight of those undergrads. Cover- ing the most important religious topics in his lessons, he also took time to give clear and convincing answers to all questions submitted by his class. That ' s one period that never drags, say sophs, frosh.

OUR FACULTY Dear Seniors, Wisely and prudently have you cho- sen the theme of your year and year- book. Happy are you to have so soon discovered the joy and peace that come to those who make Christ the King the center of their lives and activity, who live and work, as the words of the Mass express it, through Him and with Him and in Him ... In our prayerful wishes for your success and happiness in time and eternity, we cannot do better than exhort you to continue to keep your lives Christ- centered. Dedicate your homes to Him; keep as close as you can to Him and to His Blessed Mother day by day. Con- tinue to make the best possible use of the weapons that made your Army of Youth invincible - — particularly the sacraments and prayer, including the daily Rosary. In so doing, you will have Christ and Mary as your strength and consolation in whatever life may bring you, and the best wishes and brightest hopes of your faculty for each one of you will be realized.
