Dedication It is very difficult to put into words feeling that have no words of their own. Pe rh ap s apprecia- tion, respect, and friendship come closest to saying what we feel. So meho w it reminds us very mu ch of the hundreds of tries to prove geometry theorems, or the hundred attempts at successfully constructing our booths for bazaars. Many of our attempts as a class have failed at the first try, bu t we have always been encouraged to keep trying- to keep becoming - to keep making that need and glorious effort. And so now, even though our attempts at writing a dedication have been less than what we want- ed, we know that it really doesn't matter. This book contains very briefly the biggest part ofour- selves, what we have become, and wh at we wish to become. That is why the Mercian staff, on behalf of the Class of 1971, wishes to dedicate our yearbook1 as a thank-you to one of us - our very special teacher, sponsor, and friend . . . Sister Chris+ine
