BROTHER CAMILLUS -demonstrates to some members of his General Sci: ence class, how the electric motor works. SCIENCE CLUB-The science club of Mt. St. Joseph, affiliated with the Na: tional Science Clubs was formed for the iirst time at the Mount this year. Here, in the physics lab, where the meetings were held monthly, some of its members dem: onstrate their interesting projects. Brother Marcellus, club moderator, planned many interesting trips and demonstrations, while Ben Popera, the president of the club, presided over the meetings. GETTING THE FACTS-As we travel through the school we soon come to the Metal Shop where Brother Cornelius is explaining, to Bob Mayr, Frank Sullivan, and Bob Reg: ula, the complicated procedure in the development of the machinery in the Metal Shop. At the Mount there is an opportunity for those who are planning a future as an engineer to secure the necessary background for this work. lui-1 l'HlliO5Ol'HY ol' the Mounts educa- tional system can he lonnd in the Eng- lish clepartment's tour year tour of l,ltC1'2lLL1l'C, and among the many ap- proved volumes that wait, shelved in the Library cabinets, to he explored. The great thoughts of great men of years past, set forth with unmistakeable soliditv in their writings, are a sure path to learning. Along with our English- teaching Xaverians, we explored the works and lives ol' l,iterature's greatest. XfVe traveled from Iieuzuzzlf to Lllacbeth -from Pope to Eliotetrom .-l to Z in the world of letters-and, no doubt, came out the better for it. Despite senior term papers and exams and allg the lucky ones who passed show that the course is not altogether uneonquerable, only more or less impossible.
