Bishop Wood, The auxiliary Bishop oT The Diocese, named The convenT lvlounT SainT Joseph and here on OcTober 4, 1858, The SisTers opened an academy ThaT shorTly was charTered as an insTiTuTion of higher learning. In The year Tollowing, The school was charTered as a collegiaTe insTiTuTe. ATTer TuncTioning Tor some years as a col- lege, The school was re-organized inTo a Tour-year high school and This iT has con- Tinued To be unTil The presenT.
