Knowledge Bowl ' s advisor, Mr. Clegg. Where do the Knowledge Bowl members receive their broad in- telligence levels on all aspects of studies? Advisor, Gene Clegg believes his secret incentive is what keeps their practices running smoothly. Coca-cola, cookies, and popcorn stimulates thinking, he says. These practices are held once a week starting in October and in January are increased to twice a week. The group begins meeting with other teams in our league for practice games, until the league tournament in March. There are two prestigious awards given at this meet; one, for the best team and the other for the best school. Each school can have up to three teams of four people. The officers of this knowledgeable group are: President-Chris Oleson, Vice-President-Trevor Parkinson, Treasurer Todd DeBoer, and Sergeant at Arms-Matt Bassett. In the past, Mt. Si ' s Knowledge Bowl team has taken first in league, and at least third in regionals. The team hopes to make it to state for the third year in a row, and keep up their good reputation.
