The 1987 Volleyball team surpris- ed everyone with a 19-5 overall record. They took not only the League Championship, but also the District Championship. The team battl- ed with injuries all season, but mentally prepared themselves against them. Their mental toughness was their mainstay during the entire season. Con- centration and pre-game meditation also contributed to their tough game play. Attitudes and disciplinary pro- blems bogged the team down though. Without these players, stated Coach Job, We could have taken the Sta Championships as a team. Mo. players agreed. With only the loss two seniors, the team should contin to win throughout the continuin seasons. Congratulations to th Volleyball Team!!! 94 VOLLEYBALL

tv 1 ;r mJ ! ' J 96 SOCCER This year ' s Girls ' soccer team has had an ex- ceptional year playing in one of the toughest A A girls ' soccer league in the state. Losing only to Tahoma and Mt. Rainier, these girls went on to have the best record ever for Girls ' soccer and took 3rd in League. Accomplishments included beating Tyee for the first time ever and playing well against their toughest competitor, Tahoma, who was 1st in the state last year. This year ' s Juniors, making up a major part of the Varsity team, played an impor- tant role in this season. Along with the Sophomores, they look forward to an even better season next year. Special thanks is given to Sharon Mock Caldwell for her inspiration and time. SPONSORED BY THE SPORT SHOP NORTH BEND 888-0715 H
