This year ' s Cross Country team has been very successful and has worked mud harder than previous teams. This year ' s team includes Mike Wells, Mik Peck, Rusty Miller, Todd Shinn, Paul Jones, David Wiktorski, Rico Tessai) dore, Daniel Estrada, Nathan Sutherland, James Hall, Alex Eanes, Jennifer Rem Jill Peach, and Jo Ann Musgrave. Every week, the team runs about 30 miles and mos of its members started their training during the summer. Special recognition goes t| Freshman Jill Peach who competed very strongly against older girls from otht teams. The team went on to take 3rd place at League with Mike Wells taking 5th an Mike Peck taking 6th. After going on to District, Mike Peck placed 20th with Mik Wells taking 22nd out of over 80 other competitors. Awards went to Mike Peck an Mike Wells who received all-league selection. Guys ' most-valuable went to Mik Wells and Paul Jones received most-improved. The 1987 Volleyball team surpris- ed everyone with a 19-5 overall record. They took not only the League Championship, but also the District Championship. The team battl- ed with injuries all season, but mentally prepared themselves against them. Their mental toughness was their mainstay during the entire season. Con- centration and pre-game meditation also contributed to their tough game play. Attitudes and disciplinary pro- blems bogged the team down though. Without these players, stated Coach Job, We could have taken the Sta Championships as a team. Mo. players agreed. With only the loss two seniors, the team should contin to win throughout the continuin seasons. Congratulations to th Volleyball Team!!! 94 VOLLEYBALL
