Tryout participants were ex- pected to learn a routine with only four mistakes. The team had ex- pectations and regulations to follow to keep things organized. Main goals were to raise money: purchase a stereo system: to be superior at state competition and perform at other events rather then just halftimes. Ms. Peggy Ott, advisor feels, The girls have set their goals and are trying to accomplish them. The team competed at Liberty, and held a dance show. The team acquired new uniforms by holding rummage sales and bake sales, participating in the AFS bazaar, and selling trick or treats at Halloween. 1. Cindy Moore and Kelly King do the jig. 2. The dance team holds their flags in honor of the bullfight. 3. As the brave matador marches throughg while the Misticats raise their flags. 4. AFS students held a bazaar in the multipurpose room. There was a wide variety of items including ceramics, pain- tings, and sausage. There were many participants of all ages who especially liked the cake walk. Lynn Hindes said lt was a lot of fun and a lot of people were there. Unlike last year, Mr. Thomas Tilton, German teacher, played accordian music, including Ger- man Christmas carols. Gladdis Pacheco also performed several folk dances. lt was better than we expected, said Roxanne Pew. All AFS students put a great deal of time into the Bazaar. As a result, participation was good, and those who attended had many booths and activities to experience. 1. Joyce Carlson stands in line with her friends to buy an AFS goodie. 2. Joe Milliman is happy with Bazaar assignment. 3. AFS members, Laura Brown, Gladdis Pacheco and Lynn Hindes count their earnings. 4. Lynn Hindes concentrates on new ways to earn money for AFS. 5.
