Ambitious, eager, and a little nervous: enter the Class of '82! Freshman year was led by President Allan Lamb, Vice-President Robin Blankenship, Secretary Lisa Tyler, Treasurer Cathy Schuller, and ASB representative Kelly O'Donnel. Advisors were Wayne Hash Hashiguchi and Miss Jane Lindquist. The class did their best, but fund- raising was alittle short of spectacular. The freshman's highest achievement was placing second in the Homecom- ing float competition. Nominated for Homecoming Royalty were Cathy Schuller and Allan Lamb. The seeds of greatness were just starting to emerge. Hash again took the helm as advisor, along with Miss Elaine Swanson, for the Class of '82's second year. With the help of President Pam Carlson: V.P. Erin Brock: Secretary Frances Gehrts, Treasurer Dale DeBoer, and Business Manager Julie Peterson, the sophomores climbed out the hole and started to gain momentum. Standing in the Spirit Competition rose from fourth place to a respectable third. Homecoming princess was Billi Bethards, and her escort was Rob Castagno. Junior year brought financial stability. President Craig Blazina, V.P. Frances Gehrts, Secretary Moselle Horiuchi, and Treasurer Martin Ehrich brought the class together to finish with a superior second place in the Spirit Competi- tion. We brought forth our royalty by electing Jacqueline Castro as princess, and Monthy Wright as her escort. Class advisors were the ever popular Hash and Art Galloway. We have become unified, and arrived a step higher! The Class of '82 was guided by very involved leaders including: Frances Gehrts as president, Jacqueline Castro as vice-president, Sue Williams as secretary, Moselle Horiuchi as treasurer, and Dale Deboer as class representative. Homecoming was blessed with sunshine and nice weather. This event was well organized and chose Illusions as its theme. The royalty consisted of six beautiful princess and their escorts, one of which would be queen and king. With Shannon Moore officiating the ceremony, each couple received a box. Each box was to contain white flowers, except the elected queen and king whose boxes would hold red flowers. Terri Storaasli and Dan Hagen received the red flowers and were named queen and king. The royal court also consisted of: Jackie Castro and Allan Lamb, Moselle Horiuchi and Martin Ehrich, Terri Adcox and Brent Evetts, Renee Hughes and Eric Riley, and Frances Gehrts and Monty Wright. As we look towards graduation, we can definitely say, Well, it looks like we made it! Congratulations Class of '82 I ,v ,- - T? l Senior class officers are: Frances Gehrts, Dale DeBoer, Moselle Horiuchi, Sue Williams, and Jacqueline Castro Senior Officers 17
