: :: :::S:i Honor Society's main project of the year was a very creative cookbook. Compiled of recipes generously provided by the Mount Si faculty, the book was organized by the very competent Debbie Upton and illustrated by the very weird Cheri Higley. Funds from the cookbook sale were intended for the purchase of a computer and music library. Membership increased this year. The number of students in- volved tripled. Honor Society's Advisors were Nancy Skerritt and Robert Odman. Officers were President Julie Peterson, V.P. Dale Deboer, Treasurer Martin Ehrich, and Secretary Debbie Upton. 106 Honor Society 1. Colleen Boyce ponders deep and philosophical thoughts. 2. Advisor Skerritt converses with cynic-at-large Cheri Higley while John Gephart looks amused. 3. Sue Williams expresses her feel- ings about Honor Society. 4. Scott Weppler and Terry Storaasli pay rapt attention. 5. 17 A W? - 1 -1--3 1-ll With the handsome Herr Tilton ac- ting as advisor, the German Club flourished into a very successful organization. There goals were realistic and well thought of. They were: to promote in- terest and involvement in German and Foreign Language study at Mount Si and in the community, and to provide extra-curricular activities and learning experiences for students and club members. Leading the pack were: President Greg Dickman and Honorary President Kaz Yamasaki, VP Anne Drury, Sec.fTreas. Adrienne Willder, and Public Relations Officer Teresa Weber. This year's fieldtrips included: a visit to U.W. to observe a German Literature class, dinner at a german restaurant, and a three day excursion to Leavenworth. With much enthusiasm, Mr. Tilton commented, We are looking forward to seeing German Club grow. A fine groupitis! 1. German club members are: Cleft to rightj Mr. Tilton, advisor: Debbie Upton, Greg Dickman, Teresa Weber, Renate Mafli, and Kirsten Konopa- ski. 2. These pepsters, under the direction of Advisor Linda Jones, President Julie Hillman, Vice-President Renee Hughes, Business Manager Shari Yates, and Secretary Jackie Castro, par- ticipated in activities such as car washes, candy sales, and fun days. President Julie Hillman sets some special goals for herself and the group. These included making Pep Club more popular again, helping to bring about more school spirit, and making everyone in Pep Club feel wanted - both upper-classmen and under-classmen alike.
