THE CHORUS was an important feature on the program of the Kiwanis Show, March 26 and 27. Donned in scarlet and grey robes. the group made an eyecatching picturc on the T, V. screen. On the evening of April 17. the chorus presented its Spring Festival. Among the selections offered were Buffalo Gal, Praise Ye Jehovah, and Desert Song. The finale was the combination chorus and band in Born To Be Free. Mount Si's chorus took part in the King County Festival, held at Bothell this year. singing. Hills of Home. Praise Ye Jehovah. and Blessing, Glory. and Wisdoni. In the evening. all the choruses representing every school came together for a public concert. Ending its full schedule, the chorus sang during the Baccalaureate Service on May 24. A newly formed group, the Boys' Chorus. has already managed to appear at several functions. including the Father-Son Banquet and the Kiwanis Show. Larry Pcttersen was the accompanist for the boys' group. 29

ONCE AGAIN Charles Scott led his seventyfvoice chorus through a varied and sue' cessful year. At each performance the chorus was greeted hy a responsive audience. Starting off the year in its usual spirit of community participation. the chorus took part in the dedication ofthe new North Bend Lutheran Church. 'LLift Up Your Heads. VJorthy Art Thou. and Silent Night were the three selections sung during the impressive ceremony. Witli the Christmas season approaching, the chorus prepared its annual play. 'LThe Song of Christmas. hy Fred Wairing. The lovely lighting effects. heautiful costumes. and the hackground of traditional music comhined to make the play an impressive one. .lane Adams Junior High School was the scene of the annual music contest. The two numhers presented hy the chorus, Praise Ye Jehovah and Lord. To Thee Our Hearts Are Raised. earned it another distinctive Superior, an award which seems to he the result of doing what comes naturally, not forgetting the patience and lahor on Mr. Scotts part, of course. 28
