We're all in the picture here, on the dance floor, in the band, behind the footlights or in the audience. We grew through doing, learning the importance of enjoy- ment that brings our folks together. The camera can only give you pieces of it - shiny scraps caught in the flash of a moment. Maybe the whole story can't be told but you ca di , n rea of its importance in the eyes of all.

UOIUE Q5 Feudin', a fussin', and a Hghtinh Sometimes it got darn right ex- citin'. This was Feudin' Daze for befuddled freshmen who were initiated into Mountaineer life by Supervising sophomores. A trek up to emblem hill and the fresh- men were treated to an hour of scrubbing the granite-like letters with toothbrushes. Later on the sophomores proved victorious over the freshmen in tug-o-war and other competitions. Days of frolic for the old and new Mounties initiated a very success- ful Hello Week of '57.
