Dear Class of 1989: As life after high school begins for each of you, I challenge you to be the loving, concerned persons which our world needs. If it is happiness you wish, then it is love first, last and always which you must give. Like the five loaves and two fishes, love only multiplies when you give it away. (John 4:7) Your M.S.J. experience has been a microcosm of the world to some degree. Perhaps it has been more protected and definitely more community oriented, but no less challenging and at times, painful. You have made choices and lived with consequences, and so it is with life outside of Mt. St. Joseph. I implore you to make good choices, moral choices, just choices, loving choices. May you always be aware of God’s presence in your life and affairs. Thank you for all that you have given to the Academy in your time with us. You will be missed. You remain in my love and prayer.
