The slight rroces of nonconformity found in rhe srudenrs as Sophomores, come to ful light during rhe Junior yeor. This need to nonconform is manifested in the wearing of such onides os bowling shoes, pins bearing rhe names ond insignias of rhe latest punk rock group ond shirrs bearing some off color expletive in Chinese. Senior year, rhe culmination of one's ocodemic, social ond fashion activities, brings us as many different styles as rhere ore Senior srudenrs. Dy this rime, each sroge of fashion has been completed by each student and he has found his own style. Some hove become fixated in the Prep sroge and would rather die than wear socks with deck shoes or anything not derived from the cotton plant. Others go for rhe defiant, punk rocker look and rake the jeans jocker and assorted pins for rheir garb. There ore businessmen ond women, ond on rhe other end of rhe spectrum, one con find o few of rhe more militant noncon- formists skulking around in army forigues or comoflouge trousers ond matching accessories. Just as one passes through rhe stages of ocademia. so does one pass through stages of fashion. As rhe dass of 1980 graduates, it is safe to soy that oi students hove bred rheir own style of dress ond wi be remembered for it in rhe years to come. A?
