he laughter of the chilg', The twinkle in his eye Convinces me beyond all doubt That he s never had to cry. His world is one of happiness, Of simple mirth and joy But such is the world of any girl. And of any youthful boy. I wish that I could share his world Of candy canes, rainbows and smiles But all that I can really do Is enter it for awhile. I111 just quietly watch The young child at play And slowly I will Begin slipping away. I'll ftream about leprechauns, Puppet shows, fairs. It's so good to live Without any cares But I have to come back To reality, I fear And thus to my eye Comes a solitary tear I don't really fit In the grown-up world But I also can't play Like an innocent girl. Who am I, I wonder But no answer have I; All I can do Is sit down and cry. I don't think 1 11 make it, N ( Z- Don't think I can cope But tomorrows a new day , Full of sunshine and hope.
