Father. Four years ago we entered into a world of insecurity and confusion in the realization that we were beginning a phase of our lives extremely different than we had ever experienced before. Listening to the philosophy of this building that we would attend for the next four years of our lives, we didn't comprehend the saying, at First, that M.S.J. is not a building! It looked like a building! What were you trying to tell us? In retrospect, we can only turn to you to see the philosophy of love, caring, and friendship perfectly exercised in every aspect of your life. You have given us a part of you that no one can ever take away, the gifts of friendship and love. You have shared with us the fondest memories of our high school years. Comforting us in our sorrow and rejoicing in our triumphs arc just small examples of how you have given unselfishly of yourself. Well, now it’s time to move on. to chase the horizons our dreams have explored, to pursue the life we have imagined, to capture the stars once thought impossible to reach. You have given us self-confidence, pride, and most of all, you have helped us to find ourselves, to be the supreme creatures God has meant us to be. to live, to chase our dreams to pursue our imaginations, to reach the stars, to meet the goals we have set for ourselves, to be proud of our true persons, and to grow. Father La valley, you ha vc portrayed the qualities of a friend so vividly that you arc the most unforgettable person in our high school world. To you. we. the class of 1980, dedicate this yearbook, with all our love.
