m I 1969 MOUNT Mount Saint Joseph Academy Rutland, Vermont Vol. XXX Editor: Michele Pietryka Ass't. Editors: Gertrude Harrington Peter McGann Business Mg'rs.: Victoria Sienkiewicz Michael McCormack Photographers: Julie Flanagan John Mondella From the Editors v In accordance with the theme of this thirtieth volume of the “Mount”, there is a time for giving thanks where they are due. Being editors is a tremendous responsibility, and we never could have com- piled this book without the help of ever so many people. We enjoyed every minute of writing this editon. however, and we hope you derive as much pleasure from reading this yearbook as we did in editing it. There are many factors that go into the production of a yearbook. Among these are patience and advice, for which we wish to thank Sister Jean and Sister Mary, our Business and Editorial Board Advi- sors. We would also like to thank our class advisor, Mr. James Cough- lin. for helping us to get our subscription drive started. A special thanks goes to our own staff, the Editorial Board, especially the sectional editors, and Vickie Sienkiewicz. Mike McCor- mack. and the Business Board for the tremendous amount of time and work they put into this year's “Mount” Our photographers. Julie Flanagan and John Mondella. are re- sponsible for all of the fine pictures, a set we are truly proud to present in our yearbook. To Mr. Norm Porter and Mr. Bill Bartlett we say thank you for all the time and effort that went into the taking of our class and senior pictures. And we couldn't forget Mr. Bob Frazier, of Lindholm's, for all his help with our pictures. We are most grateful to the Administration. Faculty, and the Student Body for the support they gave us right from the beginning during the days of confusion and interrupted classes for picture- taking. The parents of the class of '69 deserve a special thanks for being social patrons, but even more so. for their cooperation and patient understanding throughout the year. In conclusion, we would like to say. once again, thank you to all those who have made this yearbook possible. Dedication To Father Lambert: The time has come for closing books, and long last looks must end. And as we leave, we know we are leaving our best friend: A friend who taught us right from wrong and weak from strong, that's alot to learn. What can we give you in return? If you wanted the world we would try to make a start, But we’d rather dedicate from our hearts this yearbook To Padre, with love. A c thletic Association: 1st row: F. Ciofli. W. Murphy. Treas.. N. School Board Principal’s Message To l he Class of ’69— The past four years have been a very significant part of your lives, and each of you can look back to single out the most memorable and the most rewarding events as well as those people who have had the greatest influence on your lives. On behalf of the Faculty at Mt. St. Joseph, I hope that our message has instructed you, our guidance assisted you. and our example inspired you. Most of all, we hope that the total experience of your life at the Academy has provided permanent values for your lives—to enrich your grasp of the present and your vision of the future, and that the charity and wisdom of Christ will be the inspiration for both.
