In June of 1962 the city of Rutland was grieved by the passing away of the Right Reverend Alfred Desautels. Monsignor’s passing left a gap in the hearts of his friends and parishioners. During his years as pastor at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, he was extremely interested in the education of chil- dren and was dedicated to this cause. He served us diligently and the service he rendered will he greatly missed by everyone. Monsignor Alfred I.. Desautels, R.I.P
