Foreword The following pages portray a portion of our Christ- ian education. This education began in the home and has been nurtured in the school. We, as the Catholic adults of tomorrow, will apply and develop it while striving for our eternal goal. Through the guidance of our parents, and the efforts of our teachers, we are entering adulthood with some assurance that we have been well prepared to meet the challenge. With the grace of God, the lessons of our Christian education will remain with us throughout our lives, giving us the proper attitude toward life and aiding us in the perception of Truth.

Dedication As a token of our appreciation, we dedicate our 1961 MOUNT to the two priests who have won the respect and admiration of each member of the graduating class ... —Reverend Father John Lynch, who guided us through our first three years of high school with devoted attention, love, and understanding. —Reverend Father Wendell Searles, who came to us in our senior year and has shown great enthusiasm for all our endeavors. It is men such as these who help pave the way and ease the burdens encountered in our daily lives as teenagers and students. Encouraging individuality as well as scholarship, they have shown us the right path to the discovery of our place in Christian society, and aided us in knowing and understanding ourselves. Father Lynch and Father Searles have, each in his own way, met the responsibilities and achieved the goals of a prin- cipal with tl e highest success. With all sincerity we thank them. They represent the true spirit of Mount St. Joseph.
