Students in Nlr. Hill's Business Law classes took field trips to King County Courthouses and held their own mock trials. One of the most interesting classes offered is Distributive Education, more commonly known as D.E. lt is a member of the national club D.E.C.A., and although many students don't realize it, D.E. is probably the most active student organization in our school. Besides running the student store and sponsoring the annual Senior Breakfast, it was involved in many fund-raising and community-centered projects. All of the students also have part-time jobs and get job training in the class and on the job. af . : fa . A H555 I if i 5 M.. 29!English WORDS UNLIMITED Enthusiasm sparks a new learning experience Since last year, the English department has brought in two teachers. Pamela Schilz came in to take on American literature for Nlrs. Thomas and Lou Fagnan came to us second semester last year to lead writing and the RAlVl'S HORN. They make up just part of a staff which is already alive with new ideas and a variety of classes in which to express them. There are now twenty-seven quarter and semester classes in the English curriculum. The students can choose courses in such areas as literature, communications, publications, and drama. lt is this type of enthusiasm in teaching that gets students interested in English as a subject to be learned and enjoyed. C11 Beverly Forslof, head of the English department. C23 Mr. Fuller watches as his drama class prepares for a performance of the play Poom.
